Allstate CEO joins forces to create OneTen
In a recent press release, it was announced that Allstate CEO and Chairman Tom Wilson joined a coalition of 37 CEOs called OneTen, an organization committed to upskilling, hiring and promoting one million Black Americans over the next 10 years. OneTen will work with employers, education partners and upskilling partners to design educational and employment solutions. Together, these partners will better develop, retain and advance diverse and underrepresented talent, more broadly, but with an explicit commitment to hire or promote Black Americans without four-year degrees.
“Systemic inequities affecting the Black community have gone on far too long,” said Carrie Blair, executive vice president and chief human resources officer. “Equity in the workplace benefits our business, our employees and our communities overall. Allstate’s participation in OneTen is one way we will help build a more inclusive, diverse and equitable society.”
