Nashville Water and Sewer

Allstate’s municipal bond portfolio invested $6 million in rehabbing 70,000 linear feet of sewer and increased storage capacity for runoff during wet weather for the city of Nashville. The project is certified green, as it provides for environmentally conscious water management. Much of the Nashville sewer system lacks the capacity to handle the current volume of sewage and stormwater. The project will update infrastructure to reduce sewer overflows, reduce health risks associated with exposure to bacteria and contaminants, and improve water quality in the Cumberland River and Davidson County’s extensive network of streams, creeks and tributaries.
